I recently read through several of the forum posts. Boy! What a bunch of soreheads. I have never seen a group of people so angry. If you tell them that President Bush killed Jesus, 75 percent of them would agree with you (just before a tirade about christofascists).

It is interesting, most of them loathe the United States of America, whether they admit it or not. But when something comes right down their alley, they are too blind to recognize it as a positive for their cause, whatever the hell that is.

Take the case of our high fuel costs. Instead of rejoicing at the fact that high fuel costs mean a shot at harming the U.S.A. (and exploiting other sources of energy), they rant on about the President and Vice-President being in bed with the Saudi's and Big Oil and the "fact" that the Republicans want to destroy the U.S.. When things like this get pointed out, there is widespread condemnation.

Also there is this: one poor (level-headed) poster tried to say that there are more people in this country who live at a low to middle income level than there are wealthy people. Very few people agreed with him. I guess their idea of wealthy starts at $35,000 per year.

Regardless, it is always good for a laugh.

Hey Plumber,
I don't think you could be more wrong. MoveOn might be angry, but they love America. Personally, I prefer to hang out at the DNC Blog.

Go under the Permanent Open Thread and you will find a lot of people who love this country, but are angry at how its ideals have been bastardized by a few CorporaCons that care more for corporate welfare than child welfare.

Hey there chuckles!

Congradulations on being the first person to comment on my blog. Even better is the fact that you disagree with me.

Your criticism of corporate welfare is appropriate. That one dime of my money goes to any company pisses me off. That said, coercion is coercion. The gun that the Stalinists of Moveon would jam in my face to pay for someone elses retirement or healthcare is the same gun that the "CorporaCons" jam in my face to pay for their welfare. The ONLY difference is which hand the gun is held in.

By the way, I don't give a damn about corporations or children unless their rights as INDIVIDUALS are being violated.
